In Home Care 4u™ Launches Veteran Franchise Fee Discount Program- Offering up to $10,000 Off Franchise Fees for U.S. Service Members

In Home Care 4u™ was founded in the small N. Idaho town of Deary, by Joleen Tietz, in 2018. 

Fast forward to 2025, and In Home Care 4u™ is now an emerging caregiving franchise dedicated to elevating care standards through a caregiver-first model. Founder, Joleen Tietz, announced today the launch of their Veteran Franchise Ownership Program. The initiative provides meaningful financial support, not just lip service, to U.S. service members who wish to explore business ownership within the booming home-care industry.

Effective immediately, qualified Veterans may receive $1,000 off the franchise fee for every year of active-duty service, up to a maximum of $10,000. This discount represents one of the more significant military incentives currently offered among new franchise systems you’ll find today.

In addition, In Home Care 4u™ provides a list of veteran-friendly SBA lenders to provide preferential financing opportunities for any Veteran seeking to open their own In Home Care 4u™ franchise. These partnerships and relationships will build and expand over time as the franchise grows. The franchise also gives “Veteran Owner” seals to its qualified owners to place on any of their marketing or promotional materials for their specific and respective locations. 

According to VA News, Veterans make up only about 6% of the U.S. population but they make up over 14% of all franchise owners in the U.S. Data collected from over 2,000 veteran franchise owners, by the Franchise Business Review, published on Oct 31, 2025, says that 39% of veteran owned franchisees own multiple franchise locations/units. This tells us Vets don’t just buy franchises, they succeed in them, and they scale them! In that same article it says this about Veteran Franchise Owners: “Their specialized training, discipline, and diverse experiences prepare them to manage teams, follow systems, and execute plans with precision.” making them ideal candidates for franchise ownership. 

This offering is deeply personal for founder Joleen Tietz, whose family is rooted in multi-generational military service spanning the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force. “Family gatherings are never dull.” Tietz claims. She often cared directly for her father, retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Michael Wisehart, who struggled with MS. She and her company cared for him from its inception in 2018 until he passed in 2021. “The creation of this company was a direct result of me caring for my own dad. Helping Veterans out is second nature, it’s like helping out my own family.” Tietz says. Her son, PFC Joshua Jenkins, also served in the Army before his untimely passing in 2020. “That knock on the door nearly derailed everything.” She shares, “For a while it did, everything just came to a stop.” Recalling it now, she describes it all as a blur. Joleen’s husband, who served as a U.S. Marine Corps tank commander, saw her through her darkest of days. Pouring herself into work, Tietz admits, is a coping mechanism to shelter her from the many sorrows she’d rather not dwell on. Her sister-in-law, Army Sergeant First Class, Donna Stone, of Colorado Springs, is prior USMC and currently she’s active duty in the Army. Stone serves on the board of advisors for In Home Care 4u™. 

“I think this will be a good opportunity for veterans. Whether they need the care or they want to take advantage of this business opportunity, In Home Care 4u™ truly cares for our service members, and with this military discount, it shows. Best Mind Behavioral Health published an article titled “Challenges of the Military Transition to Civilian Life” by Jack, in June of last year. One key point brought up is that oftentimes, service members will form their very identity and purpose in life around the military. “When this purpose and identity disappears, it can leave veterans feeling adrift and unsure of who they are or what their purpose is in life. It can be challenging to find new roles and goals that provide the same sense of fulfillment and direction.” In Home Care 4u ownership easily overcomes this challenge as the company’s training, SOPs and provided operations manual, lay out a clear plan to follow. Over 8 million veterans are now over the age of 65, and that number is climbing. Something Tietz and Stone agree on, is that veterans are tough, they’re stubborn, and they often wait too long to ask for much needed help. Having more Veteran owners might make all the difference for these VA clients when it comes to accepting much needed in-home care. 

With the family members mentioned previously plus: grandparents, siblings, cousins, and many other extended family members and countless friends of hers, Joleen has seen loved ones serve across multiple branches of our Armed Forces. Tietz admires and respects those who’ve put it all on the line for the sake of God and Country. “Civilians almost seem rare in our family,” Tietz laughs, admitting she sometimes feels like the only civilian in the room. “I didn’t realize until my son’s boot camp graduation, that only one percent of the population actively serves our country right now. Veterans hold a special place in my heart, and offering them a real opportunity to join our franchise isn’t just about good business, it’s about family, and franchise fee military discount is my way of giving back to the brave men and women who’ve stood up to protect our Great Nation.” 

Joleen’s Daughter, Jordan Jenkins of Austin TX, is also on the board of advisors. She plays a key role in marketing for the franchise. Jenkins says this about the company’s new discount offering, “It’s a thoughtful gesture to the heroes who serve our country.” And up to $10,000 off their initial investment is more than just a gesture. This discount will create a path to ownership that will make all the difference to some veterans.
