Matt Fowers serves as Director of Finance and Franchise Development at Cordovan Art School, a children's art education franchise with 12 studio locations across the Houston and Austin, Texas metro areas. In his role, Matt oversees financial operations, franchise development, FDD compliance, multi-entity accounting, and acquisition strategy. Before joining Cordovan, Matt spent nearly a decade in banking and served as COO at Fullam Enterprises, giving him a well-rounded foundation in both operations and finance. Since stepping into franchise development, Matt has led Cordovan through the complex process of becoming a franchisable brand — navigating FDD registration, building franchise infrastructure, attending national expos, and evaluating acquisition targets. He is passionate about helping emerging franchise brands avoid costly mistakes and build systems that scale. Matt brings a candid, practitioner's perspective to every conversation about what it actually takes to grow a franchise from the ground up.
